ESL Fellow

The Center for Global English is expanding its services to foreign lawyers enrolled in master’s degree programs. The person holding the post-doctoral fellowship will teach advanced academic English to foreign lawyers who are working on post-graduate degrees. The teaching contexts include:
1. assist the ESL Specialist in teaching an intensive seminar of 20 students
2. facilitate small group and tutorial work
3. carry out individual tutorial work
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in applied linguistics, English as a second language, cross-cultural communication or a similar area in hand and 3-5 years experience teaching English to international graduate students. The candidate should want to expand his/her teaching repertoire to include ESP in academic English and cross-cultural communication in a legal context. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching academic English to foreign graduate students and an interest in working with foreign lawyers. This is a full-time position.
