*MAJOR DUTIES: *

If selected for this position, you will perform the following

duties:

Serve as program manager with responsibility for coordinating the majority
of OCE's Spanish-language activities, including Cancer.gov en espanol,
writing/translating information for health professionals

and patients (Web-based and print), and e-mail responses; work with the CPB
Chief, the OCCM Associate Director, and the OCE Associate Director for
Multicultural and International Communications in

setting priorities and establishing policies covering all Spanish-language
translation, adaptation, and general content needs, to ensure the
information produced is of the highest quality; work with the OCE management
team to develop and direct short-range and long-range multicultural
communications plans with a particular

focus on minority outreach efforts; and monitor and track issues and themes
relevant to multicultural populations and work with OCE offices to consider
such in the creation of cancer information materials or responses to
cancer-related concerns.

*QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: *

In order to meet the minimum qualifications for this position you must
possess the following:

One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next

lower grade level (GS-12)in the field comparable in difficulty and

responsibility to qualify for the GS-13 grade level.

Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience that has

equipped you with the knowledges, skills and abilities, to perform

the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to

the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable,

specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the

next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the

occupation in the organization.

Examples of specialized experience at the GS-12 level include:

In-depth knowledge of methods and processes of traditional and non-

traditional multicultural outreach programs; mastery of the English

language as well as Spanish to translate and review an array of

highly technical scientific and medical materials; expert knowledge

of the methods of written and oral communications and the production

of written materials needed to create products such as background,

articles, news releases, brochures, scripts for video and audio

releases, and Web tutorials that synthesize complex medical

information for use by professionals, the public, patients, and the

DUTIES: Plan, supervise, coordinate, and review work of seven
Landlord-Tenant Investigators in the Landlord-Tenant Affairs Section;

investigative staff work. Provides advice and assistance to the
Director, Division Chief, and investigative staff, as well as to

issues, enforcement, and legislation. Manages administrative and
enforcement actions regarding landlord-tenant laws; in conjunction with
the County Attorney's Office, prepares enforceable documents; serves as

Job Description: Links Media, LLC, seeks a seasoned Outreach and Partnership Officer to provide leadership and direction for outreach and partnership building activities on domestic and international projects, working in close collaboration with other team members to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate these efforts. As an integral member of a team with diverse skills and expertise, he/she will oversee the timely, cost effective, and high-quality planning and implementation of outreach and partnership activities, including production and delivery of technical support and training materials and project marketing materials for forging key stakeholder relationships. Tasks may include report writing, development and task administration/ management, production and delivery of a variety of technical assistance (TA) and training, capacity building, partnership development.

Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing Communications and the Corporate Leadership, the Outreach and Partnership Officer will provide program planning and implementation support to various Links Media projects. Because the nature of Links Media’s work is fluid, the incumbent will work as an integral member of a team of research, marketing communications, eMarketing, training, and TA staff to plan and implement a broad range of outreach and partnerships activities, with particular contribution expected in the area of capacity and partnership building. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
The Senior Manager of Organizing and Leadership Development performs a wide range of duties as assigned by CASA and these may include some or all of the duties and responsibilities included within the organizer job description. These job areas include:
* Coordinate and supervise organizing staff
* Design and manage large campaigns; planning and implementing tactics including demonstrations, accountability sessions, etc.
* Develop and implement leadership programs that train activists and ally organizations to develop organizing skills, critical thinking, and organizational development skills
* Serve as an organizational spokesperson before the media, funders, government, etc.
* Engage broad community and key ally support
* Ensure the conduction of strategic research to inform campaign strategy
* Direct major negotiations tied to organizing drives
* Advance institutional goals and play a key role within management team
* Provide high quality supervision including performance evaluation, individual workplan development and oversight, development, evaluation, and alteration of targeting campaigns, skill development, etc. CASA staff are organized by the Communications Workers of America and supervision of bargaining unit members must be done in compliance with our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
* Create, as a member of CASA’s management team, annual plans with measurable outcomes, track information regarding plan completion, and assist in the provision of reports regarding activities to leaders, board, and funders.
* Ensure the implementation of a successful membership and c(4) program
Qualifications
* A minimum of five years professional experience leading strategic organizing, advocacy, and/or electoral campaigns designed to and with proven results in improving fundamental and important challenges affecting the lives of the constituency organized
* Known and demonstrable capacity to design successful targeting campaigns
* A minimum of three years of experience engaging important and strategic allies to advance the political interests of the constituency organized
* Knowledge and experience with popular education methodologies and leadership development training
* Deep knowledge of organizing institutions and strategies across faith, labor, and community-based movements
* A minimum of two years experience supervising paid staff; highly prefer a candidate with supervisory experience in a unionized workplace
* Excellent writing, oral presentation, and computer skills required
* Bilingual Spanish/English required; additional languages especially French a plus
* Deep and proven commitment to progressive causes with strong preference for candidates with a proven track record organizing Latino immigrant communities
* Deep commitment to growing CASA as a membership institution in which our activists have decision-making authority

$50,000 - $60,000 plus benefits
