Editor for Congressional Research Service

The Office of Legislative Information, Electronic Research Products
Office, of the Congressional Research Service is seeking an Editor who
will edit new and updated CRS products prepared by analysts; review
products for readability and style; provide editorial feedback to
authors and negotiate changes; ensure compliance with CRS policies and
standards; apply formatting and codes for online publication in PDF and HTML formats; troubleshoot technical problems; and approve final
published products. The Editor will manage a collection of publications that are frequently updated, maintain the currency of issue-based documents, and support the integration of new documents. Successful candidates will be able to prioritize a constantly changing editorial workload, quickly assess the editorial needs of products, and adapt work strategies in response to these conditions.

The Congressional Research Service, within the Library of Congress, is
part of the Legislative Branch of the Federal government. As such, all
positions are in the excepted service.

Position is being offered at the GS-12 level ($73,100-$95, 026)) with
promotion potential to the GS-14 level ($102,721-$133, 543). Please
